65-58 - "In ~n attempt to more effectively enforce the Minimum Housing Code and to obtain better
results from this Code, we have adopted certain administrative procedures which we believe will be of benefit to
this Code enforcement program.
We are tentatively selecting areas for systematic Code enforcement in conjunction with the
Workable Program Coordination Committee and the Citizens Advisory Committee.
Once an area is s~lected, we are seeking assistance from the Civic Leagues in the area along with
active participati6n'~on the part of the area residents.
We are preparing maps of the area showing its physical characteristics, assigning block numbers to
facilitate the citizens participation, and provide.inspection routes for the tlousing Inspectors.
Attached hereto is a copy of the program m~D that is being presented to every dwelling unit within
the area to be inspected. This map shows the area of Brighton which is now being inspected under this program.
The City Council will be kept advised as to the progress of this program in the interest of
improving public relations. This further includes an invitation to any group in the City to request a speaker from
the City to discuss this program.
This is submitted for the information of the City Council and with the hope that this ~rocedure
will produce more effective results from enforcement of the Hinimum Housing Code."
