A. Rivin <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Knight to go into the elettion of members of the ~hseum Board was adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. Bastes nominated Mrs. Walter Galliford - 104 Lake Circle Drive <br /> Mrs. William E. Waters - 822 Lincoln Street <br /> Dr. James M. Parrish - 251 Riverside Drive <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Knight to close the nominations was adopted without dissenting vote; <br /> <br /> Vote being taken ~s. Galliford, Mrs. Waters and Dr. Parrish were unanimously elected members <br />of the Museum Board for three-year terms, expiring May 1, 1968. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Knight to to into the election of a member of the 5~seum Board to replace <br />J. S. Livesay, Jr., resigned, was adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. Bastes nominated Donald C. Kilgore, 405 Court Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Knight the nominations were closed. <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, Mr. Kilgore was unanimously elected a member of the Museum Board for the <br />unexpired term of Mr. J. S. Livesay, which term expires May 1, 1967. <br /> <br /> ~tion of Mr. Bastes that the City Attorney prepare a resolution of thanks to Mrs. Gladstone <br />Hill and B. A. Rivin for their services on the Museum Board was adopted without dissenting vote. <br /> <br />65-151 - The following communication from the Planning Director was read: <br /> <br /> "At its regular m~nthly meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 1965, the City Planning Commission conducted <br />an advertised public hearing on a use permit for a gasoline service station on the southwest corner of Portsmouth <br />Boulevard and Elmhurst Lane. It was apparent that the residents of the neighborhoods on either side of Portsmouth i <br />Boulevard in this section of the city are violently opposed to the introduction of gasoline send,ce stations and <br />similar intensive highway commercial uses into this part of their community. <br /> <br /> <br />
