<br /> WHEREAS, James H. Griffin has served on the Portsmouth School Board

<br />for nearly five years; and

<br />WHEREAS, James H. Griffin has been a dedieated and faithful member
<br />
<br /> NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth.
<br />Virginia. that the appreciation of the Citizens of this City for the service .rendered by James H. Griffin
<br />on the Portsmouth School Board be expressed and conveyed to the said James H. Griffin.
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that a copy of these resolutions be spread
<br />upon the minutes of the City Council. and a copy be presented to the said James H. Griffin as a token
<br />of the esteem in which he is held by the people of this City."

<br />Motion of Mr. Leafy to close nominations was adopted.

<br /> Vote being taken, the three nominees were unanimously elected members of the
<br />Recreation Board, Mr. Ivy for a four year term, expiring June 50th, 1968.

<br /> 65-102 - Motion or. Mr. Johnson to go into the election of a Justice of the Peace
