65-194 - "The Director of Public Utilities has submitted a list of doubtful or
uncollectible accounts, covering a period through June 50, 1964. Many o£ these date back five or six
years, and are generally for small amounts.
It is believed that special efforts to collect these accounts womld cost
more than would be realized, and it is reco~mnended that they be charged off in the following amounts:

Water $ 6,806.04
Sewage 3,260.65
Tax 839;25

Total $'10,905.94
There has also been submitted to me a list of unclaimed deposits in which,
in some cases, the parties have moved out of the State; and in other cases, the actual ownership of the
deposit is doubtful. These umclaimed deposits amount to $15,919.56.
I recommend that these deposits be charged off. This will net a credit
to the City of $5,015.62."

Motion of Mr. Dillon to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted,
without dissenting vote.
