<br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson that the City Manager be authorized to sign the
<br />agreement with the Parking Authority was adopted, without dissenting vote. ~
<br />
<br /> 65-235 - "I submit the attached lease between the Tidewater Youth
<br />Association, Incorporated, and the City of Portsmouth for the use of City property on Portsmouth Boulevard,
<br />and recommend that the proper City officials be authorized to sign.
<br /> The School Board and the City Council previously approved the
<br />Association's using this property, but it has been found that the property is titled in the name of
<br />the City of Portsmouth; therefore, it is necessary that the City Council authorize the leasing of this
<br />property."
<br />
<br /> Motion of ~tr. Knight that the proper city officials be authorized to sign
<br />the lease, was adopted, without dissenting vote.
<br />
<br /> 65-256 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption.
<br /> This approves the redevelopment plan and feasibility of the
<br />relocation for the Weaver Project, VA R-40.
<br /> I also recommend that the proper City officials be authorized
<br />to sign a cooperation agreement between the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority and the
<br />City of Portsmouth.
<br /> This agreement stipulates what the City is to undertake in developing
<br />this project. Also, the amount of funds the City is required to expend."
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Eastes the resolution was adopted, and the proper City
<br />officials were authorized to sign the agreement.

<br /> 65-218 - The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last meeting,
