<br /> ~HEREAS, the City is willing to do what is necessary on its part to construct
<br />the said industrial access road.
<br />
<br /> NOW, ~%HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that the State Highway Commission is requested to participate in the construction 6f an
<br />industrial access road, pursuant to section 35-136~1 of the Code of ¥irginia, 1950, which said
<br />road will be located along the north side of Interstate 264 from Victory Boulevard to
<br />Airline Boulevard (Route S8) in the vicinity of its intersection with Greenwood Drive.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Portsmouth agrees:
<br />
<br /> 1. to acquire the necessary right of way by-donation or bypurchase using funds, other
<br /> than industrial access funds, available to it from its general revenues;
<br /> 2. to adjust any utilities located within the proposed right of way at no cost to the
<br /> state; and
<br /> 5.- to reconstruct, mainti~ and improve the proposed industrial access road after
<br /> the same has been constructed, in the sam~ manner as other streets and ~oads ~n the
<br /> City are reconstructed, maintained and improved.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to each member
<br />of the State Highway Commission."
