SUfficient funds emam <br /> r ' <br />complete this work. <br /> <br />Prentis Park Sidewalk project is <br />from previous appropriations to <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to adopt a motion to <br />exceed the 25% allowable limit on change orders, and was adopted by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to adopt a motion <br />authorizing the City Manager to transfer unexpended appropriations, and was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />98-166 Adoption of a motion to transfer $235,199 from the Grants Contingency <br /> Account to fund the Victim/Witness Program. <br /> (See Item No. 98-197) <br />Recommendatio~n: <br /> <br />· Motion to provide $235,199 frOm the Grant Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />Pro ose and Need: <br /> <br />· The City of Portsmouth's Victim/Witness Program has received a grant from <br /> the Department of Criminal JuStice Services. <br /> <br />· The funds will be used to prOvide direct services to approximately 3,500 <br /> victims and witnesses of crime. <br /> <br />Financial Im act: <br /> <br />· De!artment of Criminal Justice Services-$235,199 <br />· There is no Iocalmatch required. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to postpone action on <br />Agenda Item 98-166 until the City Manager returns to City Council with <br />additional information. <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- NEW BUSINESS - <br /> <br />98-167 Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Mr. Robinett offered the following nomination for the following Boards and <br />Commission: ' - <br /> <br />· Tidewater Transportation District Commission <br /> <br />James W. Holley III was appointed to replace Johnny M. Clemons. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to close the <br />nominations, and there being no further nominations, the above nomination <br />was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
