<br /> Motion of Mr. Knight that action in this matter be deferred until next regular meeting of City Council,
<br />on October 24, 1967, Was adopted, without dissenting vote.

<br /> 67-$00 - "I am in receipt of a letter from Mr. J. S. Livesa¥, concerning his services on the Tax
<br />Study Commission. Mr. Livesay-has been serving as chairman of this commission but has recently moved
<br />out of the present City limits of Portsmouth.
<br /> Under the ordinance establishing this Commission, it requires that the members be residents
<br />of the City. Since Mr. Livesay's present residence will he within the corporate limits of the
<br />City of Portsmouth after January 1, 1968, I recommend that Mr. Livesay be appointed an ex-officio member
<br />of this Commission until January 1, 1968; at which time he will then be within the City limits and can
<br />return as a qualified member of the Tax Study Commission."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Hastes to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager, was adopted, without
<br />dissenting vote.
