<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomtsmouth, Virginia;

<br />A. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely
<br /> affect the health or safety of persons residing or owrking in the neighborhood of the proposed
<br /> use, [2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements
<br /> in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purPoses of said Zoning Ordinance.

<br />B. That Atlantic Richfield Company and George E. Dodd are hereby granted a use permit, pursuant to
<br /> Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance~ for construction and operation of an automotive service
<br /> station to be located on the property described as follows: Beginning at a voint on the south
<br /> right of way ~ine of Portsmouth Boulevard with the intersection of the west ~ight of way line of
<br /> Greenland Boulevard; thence east along the south side of Portsmouth Boulevard 150 feet; thence south
<br /> 135 feet; thence west 150 feet; thence north 155 feet to the point of origin."

<br />On motion of Mr. Knight, the following resolution leas adopted, without dissenting vote:

<br />Inc. have filed an application pursuant to Section 4-2
<br />1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter

<br /> IfHEREAS, the applica~I~ the Planning Director and the City Manager have done all things required to be
<br />~one in connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said
<br />use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated.

<br />station to be located on the property described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the
<br />west right of way line of Churchland Boulevard with the south right of way line of the Norfolk,
<br />Franklin and Danville Railroad; thence southwest along said railroad right of way 253 feet to
<br />Tyre Neck Road 63 feet; thence east 310 feet to Churchland Boulevard; thence northwest along Churchtand
<br />Boulevard SS feet to the point of origin."

<br />Boulevard; thence southeast along Portsmouth Boulevard approximately 200 feet; thence north approxi-
<br />mately 20 feet; thence southeast approximately SS feet; %hence northeast approximately 143 feet;
<br />thence northwest approximately 250 feet to Greenland Boulevard; thence M~uthwest along Greeland
<br />Boulevard approximately 240 feet to the point of origin."
