The Chairman of this Committee is Rabert L. Helle <br /> <br />At its regular meeting, on January 15, 1969, the Board unanimously: <br /> <br /> a. Expressed its general approval of the enclosed report, except for paragraph 6. <br />hf Expressed itself as being in favor of the retention~of the m~semms in the same general area, as set <br /> forth in paragraph 2,5 and 4, <br /> c. Went on record that none of the Boards should be eliminated or consolidated, as set forth in <br /> paragraph 1, until the nlan set forth herein has been implemented in its entirety. <br />d. Recommends that properly qualified professional experts be obtained to study fully and make complete <br /> recommendations in regard to the feasibility and details of this overall plan. <br /> <br /> In view of the fact that the Board understands a management consultant body is now preparing an investi- <br />gation and report which would be submitted probably in A~ril, 1969, this may well be the proper group to <br />consider our recommendation. <br /> <br /> We feel that this plan, if implemented in its entirety~ would be of great benefit to all of the museums <br />and the public library and especially to the City of Portsmouth as a whole. <br /> <br />We would appreciate your consideration of this matter." <br /> <br />On motinn of Mr. Holley, referred to the City Mmmger for study. <br /> <br />69-54 - The following letter from the Director of Planning was read: <br /> <br /> "At its regular monthly meeting on January 7, 1969, the City Planning Commission resolved to recommend <br />(pursuant to the Comprehensive Plan Amendment Resolution of March 12, 1968) that you consider appointment of a <br />special long-reign committee to compile information concerning and to outline future possibilities for the <br />Craney Island Landfill Area now under jurisdiction of the U.
