NEW BUSINESS -

69-254 - The following letter from the Director of Planning was read:

"At its regular monthly meeting on August S, 1969, the City Planning Commission reviewed the zoning
currently applied to two sections of newly reconstructed Portsmouth Boulevard.

First, with respect to the area between City Park Avenue and Shea Street (and the block to the south
extending to Dunedin Road and Cherokee Park Apartments), the Planning Commission, after detailed study, re-
solved to accept the current zoning pattern as adequate.

Second, the Planning Commission again reviewed the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Hodges Ferry
Road, laying special emphasis on the southwest corner which consists of a vacant ten acre lot.

The Planning Commission instructed its Director to prepare a report on the history of zoning on this corner
since the land came into the City of Portsmouth on January 1, 1960. Attached hereto is the report.
