NOW, A. Be THEREFORE, BE IT R]~SOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affict the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neigh- borhood of the proposed use, [2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (5) will be in accord with the purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. That Tinee Giant Properties Corporation is hereby granted a use permit, subject to site plan restrictions, pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance, for the operation of an automotive service station located on the property described as follows: Beginning at the southeast eorner of Victory Boulevard and Deep Creek Boulevard; thence running east along Victory Boulevard 100 feet; thence South 150 feet; thence west 112 feet to Depp Creek Boulevard; thence North along said street approximately 150 feet to the point of origin." 70~M8-- Use Permit 70-3 - Petition of Tinee Giant Properties, Inc. Mr. Kilgore spoke. On motion of Mr. Eastes, the following resolution was adopted, without dissenting vote: "A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION AT THE coRNER OF QUEEN STREET AND HALIFAX AVENUE, UP-70-3 ~HREAS, Tinee Giant Properties Corporation has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the ~oning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit ms hereinafter des- cribed; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things~required to be done in connection with said application~ and the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. On motion of Mr. Smith, the following resolution was adopted: "A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PER'fIT FOR THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION ON VICTORY BOULEVARD, I~P-70-4 P~HEREAS, George W. Kittrell has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Orinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and }~HERBAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit subject to the condtions hereinafter stated. That George W. Kitrell is hereby granted a use permit for the operation of an automotive service station upon the hereinafter described property subject to site plan restrictions and subject to the requirement that he provide and maintain a planting screen of Lombardy Poplar or similar ~egetation, at least ten feet in height, and to be planted along the rear lot line of the parcel of land described as follows: Beginning on the south side of Victory Boulevard approximate 659 feet southeast from the intersection of Gust Lane and Victory Boulevard; thence running southeast along Victory Boulevard; thence running southeast along Victory Boulevard 1S0 feet; thence southwest 202 feet to a line; thence northwest along a line 127 feet; thence northeast 172 feet to the point of origin."
