<br />in order that we can establish the location of sewer lines as they relate to the necessary trunk lines that
<br />the Hampton Roads Sanitation District Com~nission will build.

<br /> ~nis also includes the necessary study to provide sewers for the new sugar refinery and the Coimt Guard
<br />Base to be located in the West Norfolk area."

<br />the funds can be recovered from the State. This is no expense to the City as the State and Bederal Governments
<br />reimburse the City for 100% cost of these books."

<br /> 70-193 - "I submit the attached ordinance mhd recommend it be placed on first reading. This appropriates
<br />$48,330.13 as the City's cost in improving Crawford Street from Columbia Street to London Street, and the
<br />widening of Comnty Street from Crawford Street to Court Street.
<br />
<br /> These funds cover the City's cost for the portion of Crawford Street between Columbia and County. The City
<br />is required to pay the full cost for this section. The balance of the i~mprovements to Crawford Street and
<br />County Street will be paid by the Portsmout/n Redevelopment and Housing Authority with Federal funds under the
<br />Crawford Urban Renewal Project."

<br /> 70-194 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This authorizes the submission
<br />of an application for Federal funds under the Law Enforcement Assistance Act. This is a discretionary grant
<br />request for the acquisition of a mobile crime laboratory and a portable police laboratory to be housed at Police
<br />Headquarters. It will also provide equipment needed for the purpose of preserving, collecting and field analyz-
<br />ing potential evidence at the scene of a major crime. It will also provide for the training of officers in the
<br />use of this equipment, plus modern photographic equipment.
<br />
<br /> The request is for a grant amomnting to $77,481, of which the City's participating cost amounts to
<br />$50,992 or 40%. However, it will require no outlay of City funds as we~wilI match the Federal grant with
<br />services and personnel already employed."
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr. Smith, the following resolution was adopted, and by the following vote:
