<br />On motion of Mr. Johnson, the roll,ring resolution was adopted, and by the following vote:
<br />
<br />"A RESOLUTION GRN4TING A USE PER~4IT TO OPERATE AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION fin VIOTORY BOULEVARD
<br />EAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CO~NER OF VICTORY BOULEVARD AND BEEC&DALE ROAD
<br />
<br /> :~qEREAS, the Phillips Petroleum Company has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning
<br />Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and
<br />
<br /> '~HEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection
<br />with said application, and the Planning Commission has r~¢ommended the granting of said use permit, subject
<br />to the conditions hereinafter stated.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia:
<br />
<br />That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect
<br />the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2)
<br />will not be detrimental to the pulbic welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neigh-
<br />borhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purposes of said Zoning Ordinance.
<br />
<br />That the Phillips Petroleum Company is hereby granted a use permit, subject to site plan restrictions,
<br />pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance, for the operation of an automotive service station
<br />located on the property described as follows:
<br />
<br />Beginning at a point on the southern bomnda~z of the right-of-way of Victory
<br />Boulevard 494.85 feet east of the southeast corner of Victory Boulevard and
<br />Beechdale Road; thence _running east along said s.outhern boundary of ~ictory
<br />Boulevard 200 feet; thence running southwest 185.9 feet; thence running west
<br />114.82 feet; thence running north 1S0 feet .to the point of origin."

<br />OPEP~ATION OF A SEWAGE P~PING STATION UPON A LOT FRONTING ON BEDFORD COURT OPPfiSITE ITS
<br />INTERSECTION WITH GARi~OOD AVENUE
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance
<br />of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and
<br />

<br />with said application, and the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of ~aid use permit, subject
<br />to the conditions hereinafter stated.

<br />of 228.41 feet northwest from the intersection of said northeastern boundary
<br />pf Bedford Court and the northern boundary of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad
<br />right-of-way; thence running northwest along said northeastern boundary ~f
<br />Bedford Court a distance of 110 feet; thence running northeast ~distance of
<br />217.83 feet; thence ,_running southeast a distance of 110.02 feet; thence running
<br />sou~west a distance of 218.34 feet to the point of origin."
