This contract <br />provides for the extension of the present contract for municipal electric service as currently in effect, and <br />the term is for one year. <br /> <br /> The present contract expired July 1, 1970, and Virginia Electric and Power Company has requested this <br />extension in order that they can give further study to their rate structure for municipal se~;ice. <br /> <br /> In accordance with the terms of the contract that has been in force, we notified Virginia Electric and <br />Power Company that we desired to terminate our current contract as we Were not satisfied with the rate structure <br />for municipal service.
