<br />SALE OF ALCOHOLIC SPIRITS, BEER, AND WINE."

<br />This amends the rates charged for Water.by the Portsmouth Water Department as well as the
<br />fee for service connection.
<br />
<br />At the present time the rates for water are SSe per hundred cubic f~et for the first
<br />15,000 cubic feet used in any one month, 22~ per hundred cubic feet for the next one million
<br />cubic feet, and 17~ per hundred cubic feet for all water used in excess of one million cubic
<br />feet in any one month. This amendment will change the rates as follows: $S¢ for the first
<br />15,000 cubic feet '(~he~same~ as the present rate), and 24~ per hundred cubic feet for any
<br />quantity, used in- excess of 15,000 qubic feet in any one month. This means that the third
<br />rate will be eliminated and the present rate of 22~ will be increased to 24~. These rate
<br />changes do not affect residential property.
<br />
<br /> The present fee for a service connection is now ~S0 with a tap fee of $10. This ordi-
<br />nance amends this fee to $100 service conne~ction charge for a 5/4" line and eliminates the
<br />tap fee. This will not apply when service lines installed prior to July 1, 1962 are t,aken
<br />over-by the Water Department for m~intenance after a $50 fee is paid by the property owner.

<br />as an inspection fee. Under the new schedule, the plumbing permit fee will be $5.00 plus
<br />$2.50 inspection fee.

<br />The sewer connection fee is being increased from~$60.00 to $150.00.
