<br />employees are granted six days a year sick leave with the ability to accumulate 120 days.

<br /> Under the proposed ordinance, employees will be granted sick leave of nne day per month
<br />with unlimited accumulation. This does.not apply to Fire and Police personnel as they have
<br />unlimited sick leave benefits."

<br />the construction of this park.

<br />It was necessary ~o delete the boat basin and the boat dock to bring the construction costs
<br />within the estimate. .Negotiations were conducted with Cotton Brothers, the low bidder, and
<br />the cost reduced to $160:14!,40. I recommend the contract for the site work be awarded to
<br />Cotton Brothers, Inc., the low bidder."

<br />a~thorizes the execution of a contract~bet~een the City of Portsmouth and the U. S..Department
<br />of Housing and Urban Development for a grant under Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961 as ame
<br />This grant is for the acquisition and development of several locations chosen for Portsmouth'
<br />Parks-In-Cities Project 70. These recreation and mini parks are being placed in low-income,
<br />high density neighborhoods. Federal guidelines require that these projects be developed in
<br />sections uhose median family income is $5,000 or less. The proposals for these site are
<br />tailored to insure maximum use of the facilities by ali age groups. Furthermore, they are
<br />located so as to provide a recreational outlet for the greatest number ~of neighborhood re-
<br />sidents.
