covers-the recodification of the ordinances and the charter of the City of Portsmouth.

The City has been recodifying its ordinances on a 10-year basis and we have also adopted
a new charter for the City at the last regular session of the General Assembly. The
Municipal Code Corporation proposes to print the charter, update all of the present City
ordinances which will include a subdivision ordinance, the zoning ordinance and the license
tax ordinance not presently included in the City Code. The company will also issue supple-
ments to the Code on a continuing basis at such time as the City desires. This can be
done on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

The cost for the new Code will be accomplished at the rate of $9.S0 per page which
will entitle the City to 200 copies. The payments will be in three installments with
a payment of $2,600 when the agreement is signed, $2,600 when the manuscript is submitted
to the City, and $1,600 upon submission of the galley proofs -- the balance upon final
