February 22, 1972

72-59 - "t submit the attached agreements and recommend the proper officials be authoriz~
ed to sign. These agreements between the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority and
of Portsmouth authorize the use of City inspectors in the Park View Conservation Project
and Olde Towne Conservation Project.

The purpose of these agreements is to expedite the inspections required as well as
eliminate duplication by the City and the Authority. It is estimated it will require 520
man-hours of time for City inspectors to inspect the number of houses still to be inspected
under the program. The agreement allows the Authority to reimburse the City for all the
costs incurred by the use of City inspectors. The work can be accomplished without the employ-
merit of additional personnel by the City."

On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. JOhnson, that proper officials be authorized
to sign the agreements, was adopted by the following vote:

Ayes:
Nays:

Holley, Johnson, King, Irvine Smith, Raymond Smith, Barnes
None

72-60 "At a previous meeting of the City Council, a motion was adopted that a public
hearing be held on the City Park Master Plan after being received by the Council.

The City Council has now received copies of the plan as well as the Waterfront Park
Plan.
