<br /> "Please accept this letter of resignation from the following boards and commissions
<br />to which I was appointed by you:

<br /> It is mandatory that I resign in order that I may take an elected seat on the City

<br /> 72-295 - The following letter received from Mr. John L. Ivy, Chairman, Parks and
<br />Recreation Commission, was read:

<br /> "With reference to the letter of Jun~ 14, 1972 f~om Mr. Ted Masters, City Clerk, con-
<br />cerning the petitions (Z 72-30 and Z 72-3{) of the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing
<br />Authority to rezone certain parcels of land, please be advised of the following action taken
<br />by the Recreation and Park Commission:
<br />
<br />(1) that the Commission strongly opposes-the rezoning of the parcels involved and
<br />
<br />that ~heCommission strongly recommends that the parcels
<br />by the City of Portsmouth to be designated as off-street
<br />Stadium.
<br />
