"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF FLORAL LANE <br />BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF RIVER SHORE ROAD AND THE <br />BALLARD FARM. <br /> <br /> ~HEKEAS, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Wentz, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Carlton A. Sears, and <br />Ballard Associates have made application to vacate and close the hereinafter described <br />portion of a certain street and it appearing that notice of the application and request <br />for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on May 9, 1973, on the bulletin board <br />of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal <br />Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the'City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Frank N. Bilisoly, Louis J. Leitner, Raymond Tweed, Zalmon I. Blachman and R. <br />trvine Smith, be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such <br />street and report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any, what inconvenience would result from vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, and constituting that portion of Floral Lane lying <br />between the southern right of way line of River Shore Road and the Bal- <br />lard Farm, such street being SO feet in width and 170 feet, more or less, in <br />length, and presently being in an unpaved and unimproved condition," <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, <br />Nays: None <br />Abstaining: ~entz <br /> <br />~olley, Johnson, <br /> <br />King, Smith, ~nes <br /> <br /> 75-194 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption, This <br />appoints viewers for the closing of a portion of King Street between Potomac Avenue <br />and Airline Boulevard. <br /> <br /> This closing has been requested by Self-Service'Restaurants, Inc. <br />approved by the Planning Commission." <br /> <br />It has been <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. ~.Smith, the following resolution was <br />adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF KING STREET BET~EI~N <br />POTOMAC AVENUE AND AIRLINE BOULEVARD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Self Service Restaurants, Inc. has made application to vacate and close <br />the hereinafter described portion of a certain street and it appearing that notice <br />of the application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on <br />May 2, 1975, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, <br />on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the butletin <br />board of the Municipal Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />thc} Frank N. I recommend that a permit be <br />granted." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Early, that permits be granted to the <br />Knights of Columbus, and also, Catholic Alumni Association, was adopted by the £ollowing <br />vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, ~entz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
