<br /> ~n motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following resolution was
<br />adopted, and by the following vote:

<br />'~A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TIlE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE BID OF RtVERVIEW
<br />TOt%~RS, INC., TO PURCHASE CERTAIN CIT¥OWNED PROPERTY (LAKE KILBY TRACT).
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting
<br />held March 19, 1973 resolved to authorize the City Manager to advertise for sale certain
<br />City-owned property hereinafter described; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has caused the said property to be advertised upon certain
<br />terms in accordance with the aforesaid resolution; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Riverview Towers, Inc. has submitted a bid in response to said advertisement
<br />such bid being above the minimum bid stated and being the highest of all bids submitted.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the council of the city of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that the City Manager be, and he hereby is authorized to accept the bid or Riverview Tower:
<br />Inc., and to execute all necessary legal documents incidental to the sale and conveyance
<br />of the following described property:

<br />Williamsburg, for the purpose of providing an exchange of data on wanted persons, persons
<br />on probation and parole, persons under surveillance, and stolen articles.

<br /> Tenpin, Tidewater Electronic Network Police Information, operates off of Norfolk's
<br />360/40 Computer.
<br />
<br /> The agreement that this resolution addresses covers the period of January 1, 1975
<br />through June 50, 1975. ~

<br /> ~i~ile the $5,002.00, Portsmouth's share, identified in the agreement has been budgeter
<br />by our Police Department, the City of Norfolk has requested an occompanying resolution
<br />of aUthority."

<br />WITH NEIGHBORING CITIES CONCERNING tN. TENPIN PROJECT
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Section 15.1-21 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, allows political
<br />subdivisions to enter into joint agreements; and
<br />
<br /> W~ERBAS~ the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, deems it necessary to enter
<br />into such an agreement for the purpose of providing an exchange of data on wanted persons.
<br />persons on probation and parole, persons under surveillance, and stolen articles, and
<br />further to compl~ment the Virginia Criminal Information Network (V-CIN). such project
<br />to be known as the TENPIN project.
