<br />"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY-OWNED
<br />PROPERTY TO THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to sell to the Portsmouth Industrial
<br />Development Authority a certain Parcel of land hereinafter described; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the said parcel of land constitutes surplus property and is no longer
<br />needed by the City of Portsmouth; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority desires to purchase
<br />the said property in order to utilize the land for industrial development purposes.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to the Portsmouth
<br />Industrial Development Authority the below-described parcel of land and to perform
<br />all acts and execute all documents incident to such conveyance:
<br />
<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, and more fully described as follows:
<br />BEGINNING at the northwest intersection of Columbus Avenue and Randolph
<br />Street; thence running S 78~29'49" W a distance of 853.43 feet along
<br />the ~orthern right of way line of Randolph Street to a point; thence
<br />N 42~05'36" B a distance of 321.98 feet to a point;^thence N 44~28'43!'
<br />B a distance of 413.S1 feet to a point; thence N $0~43'20" B a distance
<br />pf 132.00 feet to a point; thence S 37~27'44" B a distance of 81.66
<br />f~tGto a point; thence N 86~40'01" E a distance of 9.14 feet to a
<br />point in the western right of way line of Columbus Avenue; thence South
<br />along a curve~to the left having a radius of 655.80 feet a distance of
<br />22~8Itfeet to a point, said curve being the western right of way line
<br />of Columbus Avenue; thence continuing along said westermn right of way
<br />line S 23~S0'11" E a distance Of 198.80 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;

<br />Showing Property Owned by City of Portsmouth, Virginia. near Dale Homes,"
<br />dated January 10, 1968, and prepared by the Department of Public ~orks.
