Bilisoly, James V. McGehee, Raymond Tweed, Zalmon I. Blachman and <br />James L. Choate, be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such street and report to this Council in writin~ whether in their opinion, any, <br />and if any, what inconvenience would result from vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising that portion of Middle Street <br />$6~ated between the northern right of way line of the Crawford Connector <br />and the southern right of way line of'Wavy Street." <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 73-257 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This <br />appoints five viewers for the closing of a portion of Hawkins Street between Columbia <br />Street and South Street. <br /> <br /> This closing has been requested by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authorit' <br />in connection with the Crawford Urban Renewal Project. This appoint~ <br />five viewers for the closing of a portion of Williamsburg Avenue located between North <br />Street and London Boulevard. <br /> <br /> The closing has been requested by the Elk's Club #82 and has been approved by <br />the Planning Commission." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following resolution was <br />adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS POR CLOSING A PORTION OP WILLIAMSBURG <br />AVENUE LOCATED BETWEEN NORTH STREET AND LONDON BOULEVARD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Elks Lodge No. 82 and the Ambassador Club of Portsmouth have <br />made application to vacate and close the hereinafter described portion of a certain <br />street and it appearing that notice of the application and request for the appointment <br />of viewers was duly posted on June 14, 1975, on the bulletin board of the Court of <br />Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of <br />the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal Court, Civil Division, <br />of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Frank N. Bilisoly, James V. McGehee, Raymond Tweed, Zalmon I. Blachman and James <br />L.
