<br /> ~HEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made application
<br />to vacate and close the hereinafter described portions of a certain street and it appeari~
<br />that notice of the application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted
<br />on June 12, 1973, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmout
<br />on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin
<br />board of the Municipal Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that Frank N. Bilisoly, James V. McGehee, Raymond T~eed, Zalmon I. Blachman and James
<br />L. Choate, be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portions of such street
<br />and report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what
<br />inconvenience would result from vacating and closing the following:

<br />Parcel A
<br />
<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising that portion of South Street located
<br /> between the eastern right of way line of Cohrt Street a~d~he western
<br />right of way line of Middle Street (a portion of which is now known as
<br />Navy Street).
<br />
<br /> Parcel B
<br />
<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising that portion of South Street
<br />located between the eastern right of way line of Middle Street (a por-
<br />tion of which is now known as Wavy Street) and the western right of
<br />way line of Crawford Street."

<br />
<br /> 73-255 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This appoint~
<br />five viewers for the closing of a portion of Market Street between Middle Street and
<br />Hawkins Street.
<br />
<br /> This closing has been requested by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing
<br />in connection with the Crawford Urban Renewal Project. The closing has been approved
<br />by the Planning Commission."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Smith, the following resolution was
<br />adopted, and by the following vote:

<br /> "RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF MARKET STREET
<br /> LOCATED BETWEEN MIDDLE STREET AND HAWKINS STREET.
<br />
