87 <br /> <br />JulL 24. 1973 <br /> <br /> This appropriation provides $53,373 in Federal Funds and $9,341 in local funds for <br />a Police Planning and Analysis Unit. This unit will provide law enforcement management <br />with improved decision-making capability; multi-year program forecasting and review; insur~ <br />community needs are recognized and facilitate maximum utilization of departmental resourcel <br /> <br /> The local funds included ~n this appropriation have been previously budgeted under <br />Public Safety-Police in the General Fund." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Wentz, the following ordinance was approve <br />on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROP~IAIE$62,714 FROM THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR A <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT PLANNING AND ANALYSIS UNIT." <br /> <br />Ayes: Holley, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: NQne <br /> <br /> 73-312 "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend it be'placed on first reading <br />This appropriates $86,559 in the Federal Grants Fund for a Juvenile-based Transaction <br />Statistics Information System. <br /> <br /> This appropriation will provide the funds necessary to implement a Juvenile Informa~ <br />tion System utilizing the system design developed for the Cities of Chesapeake and Norfolk <br />The program will provide the fourth increment of the prototype system for the four-city <br />pilot study under the Pilot Cities Program. <br /> <br /> There is $76,100 in Federal funds and $10,259 in State funds included in the above <br />appropriation." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith~and seconded by Mr. Wentz, the following ordinance was approve4 <br />on first reading, and.~by the following vote: <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO APPR©RRIAT~$86,359 FROM THE~;FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR A <br /> JUVENILE BASED TRANSACTION, STATISTICS AND INFORMATION SYST~X{." <br /> <br />Ayes: Holley, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 73-313 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend it be placed on first reading <br />This appropriates $128,783 in the Federal Grants Fund for a Juvenile Courts Specialized <br />Service Behavior Modification Program. <br /> <br /> This appropriation will provide the funds for additional services and personnel <br />for the Juvenile Court.
