<br />The following reports from the City Manager were read:

<br /> 73-428 "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend that it be placed on first
<br />reading. This appropriates $115,028 in the Federal Grants Fund for operation of the
<br />Methadone Treatment and Rehabilitation Services Program.
<br />
<br /> This grant will be administered by the City Public Health Department and coordinated
<br />with the Mental Health Program. Funding for this program includes $61,275 of Federal
<br />funds, $37,896 from the State Health Department, $8,857 in in-kind services by the
<br />Public Health Department, and $7,000 in cash from Chapter 10 of the Mental Health Budget.
<br />Ail local funds required from the Mental Health Budget were previously appropriated
<br />in the annual operating budget adopted for 1973-74.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Smith, the following ordinance was approved
<br />on first reading, and by the following vote:

<br />reading. This appropriates $IS,181.84 from the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund
<br />for purchase and replacement of equipment. The above funds represent the interest
<br />earned on Entitlement III funds which were received in April and July of this year.
<br />
<br /> The interest on the first three entitlements have been used to supplement the equip~
<br />ment allocation which was reduced by approximately $45,000 due to the 5% withheld by
<br />the Treasury Department on Entitlement II. This is the second appropriation for interest
<br />that has been made towards this allocation."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following:ordinance was

<br />MULTI-PURPOSE EQUIPMENT."

<br />in the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is required ~n order
<br />that we may expend the funds through the General Fund for the purchase and replacement
<br />of equipment as previously allocated."
