This appropriates $3,935 from the Federal Grant Fund for training and edu- <br />cation of law enforcement personnel. <br /> <br /> The above appropriation provides the funds necessary for two Portsmouth Police <br />Officers to attend a 6-week training course in polygraph examinations in New York. <br />The funds include transportation, subsistence, tuition, registration fees and all <br />necessary school materials. <br /> <br /> There are $3,738 in Federal funds and $197 in local funds included in this <br />appropriation." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $3,935 FROM THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR THE <br />TRAINING OF TWO POLICE OFFICERS IN POLYGRAPH OPERA%ION TECHNIQUES." <br /> <br />Ayes: Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-54 "I submit the attached resoiu~Lon- authorizing the issuance of $402,200 <br />in General Obligation Bonds and recommend its adoption. This resolution authorizes <br />the issuance of bonds for the-purchase of Iand in Churchland and Westhaven for schools, <br />mobile classrooms, engineering and architectural fees for the proposed addition and <br />school previously authorized. <br /> <br /> It is anticipated that these bonds W¢ll be sold in fiscal year 1974-75 and funds <br />will have to be provided in the proposed budget 1974-75 to meet the debt obligation." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Smith, the matter to be deferred to the <br />next meeting, ~ebruary 26, 1974, was adopted ~y the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-55 "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend that it be placed on first <br />reading. This appropriates $29,645.57 from the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. <br />This appropriation will provide the funds for capital improvements at Sleepy Hole Park <br />under the category of recreation. <br /> <br /> The above appropriation represents the interest earned on Entitlement III and <br />Entitlement IV fund~ during the months of December and January. <br /> <br /> The above capital improvements are allowable under the Revenue Sharing guidelines <br />and are in keeping with our policy of one-time only expenditures for Revenue Sharing <br />funds." <br /> <br /> On motzon of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $29,645.57 FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SI~RING <br />TRUST FUND AND TO ALLOCATE SAID FUNDS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE <br />CATEGORY OF RECREATION. <br /> <br />Ayes: Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
