269 "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $8500 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR PAYMENT FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY ACTUARIES WITH REGARD TO THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM." Ayes: Early, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes Nays: None 74-166 - "The attached ordinance is submitted for your consideration and I recommend that it be placed on first reading. This appropriates $3,000 in the Mental Health Fund for the purchase of office furnishings for the Community Psychiatric Clinic. The Mental Health Board has received a supplemental award of State funds in the amount of $3,000 which was created by a local match of in-kind contribution from the Community Psychiatric Clinic's Trustees, and has requested this appropriation for the expenditure of the State funds." On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was approved on first reading, and by the following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $3,000 FROM THE MENTAL HEALTH FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT." Ayes: Early, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes Nays: None 74-167 - "The attached ordinance is submitted for your consideration and I recommend that it be placed on first reading. This appropriates $199,590 in the Capital Improvemen~ Fund for the purchase and construction of items previously appropriated from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for Entitlement IV. Included in this appropriation of $199,590 are funds for the following projects: (a) Traffic Signalization and controllers parts $ 49,590 (b) TV Inspection System for main- tenance and repair of sanitary sewers 100,000 (c) Replacement and repair of three cemetery buildings 50,000 TOTAL $199,590 The items outlined above were previously committed from Entitlement IV funds and are scheduled for final approval on the current agenda under Unfinished Business. The funds for the traffic signalization parts and controllers are required to furnish the necessary parts for the new downtown computerized signalization system. The TV Inspection System for the maintenance and repair of sewers is badly needed in order to repazr old sanitary sewer lines to prevent seepage from runoff storm water. The funds for the cemetery buildings are necessary to replace one and repair two of the existing buildings. One building has deteriorated beyond repair and the other two require repairing immediately to prevent complete replacement due to deteriorar tion. On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was approved on first reading, and by the following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $199,590 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND CONTROLLERS; FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TV INSPECTION SYSTF24 FOR SEWERS; AND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION OF CEMETERY BUILDINGS." Ayes: ~Earty, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes Nays: None ~::~' 74-168 - "The attached ordinance is submitted for your consideration and I recommend that it be placed on first reading. This appropriates $7S,000 in the General Fund for the purchase of replacement equipment in various departments within the City. The $7S,000 requested for this appropriation was previously committed from Entitlement IV Revenue Sharing and is scheduled for approval on final reading on this agenda under Unfinished Business. There was originally $450,000 authorized by City Council to be used for replacement of equipment from Revenue Sharing funds. This appropriation is the last allocation towards that original amount and is in compliance with the Planned Use Report adopted for expenditure of Entitlement IV funds." On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Smith, the following ordinance was approv~ on first reading, and by ~he following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE REPLACE- MENT OF AUTOMOTIVE AND MULTI-PURPOSE EQUIPMENT."
