This appropriates $3,000 in the Mental Health <br />Fund for the purchase of office furnishings for the Community Psychiatric Clinic. <br /> <br /> The Mental Health Board has received a supplemental award of State funds in the <br />amount of $3,000 which was created by a local match of in-kind contribution from the <br />Community Psychiatric Clinic's Trustees, and has requested this appropriation for <br />the expenditure of the State funds." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $3,000 FROM THE MENTAL HEALTH FUND FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT." <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-167 - "The attached ordinance is submitted for your consideration and I recommend <br />that it be placed on first reading. This appropriates $199,590 in the Capital Improvemen~ <br />Fund for the purchase and construction of items previously appropriated from the Revenue <br />Sharing Trust Fund for Entitlement IV. <br /> <br />Included in this appropriation of $199,590 are funds for the following projects: <br /> <br />(a) Traffic Signalization <br /> and controllers <br /> <br />parts <br /> <br />$ 49,590 <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />TV Inspection System for main- <br />tenance and repair of sanitary <br />sewers <br /> <br />100,000 <br /> <br />(c) Replacement and repair of three <br /> cemetery buildings <br /> <br />50,000 <br /> <br />TOTAL $199,590 <br /> <br /> The items outlined above were previously committed from Entitlement IV funds <br />and are scheduled for final approval on the current agenda under Unfinished Business. <br />The funds for the traffic signalization parts and controllers are required to furnish <br />the necessary parts for the new downtown computerized signalization system. <br /> <br /> The TV Inspection System for the maintenance and repair of sewers is badly needed <br />in order to repazr old sanitary sewer lines to prevent seepage from runoff storm water. <br /> <br /> The funds for the cemetery buildings are necessary to replace one and repair <br />two of the existing buildings. One building has deteriorated beyond repair and the <br />other two require repairing immediately to prevent complete replacement due to deteriorar <br />tion. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $199,590 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND CONTROLLERS; FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF A TV INSPECTION SYSTF24 FOR SEWERS; AND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION <br />OF CEMETERY BUILDINGS." <br /> <br /> Ayes: ~Earty, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br /> Nays: None ~::~' <br /> <br /> 74-168 - "The attached ordinance is submitted for your consideration and I recommend <br />that it be placed on first reading. This appropriates $7S,000 in the General Fund <br />for the purchase of replacement equipment in various departments within the City. <br />The $7S,000 requested for this appropriation was previously committed from Entitlement <br />IV Revenue Sharing and is scheduled for approval on final reading on this agenda under <br />Unfinished Business. <br /> <br /> There was originally $450,000 authorized by City Council to be used for replacement <br />of equipment from Revenue Sharing funds. This appropriation is the last allocation <br />towards that original amount and is in compliance with the Planned Use Report adopted <br />for expenditure of Entitlement IV funds." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Smith, the following ordinance was approv~ <br />on first reading, and by ~he following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE REPLACE- <br />MENT OF AUTOMOTIVE AND MULTI-PURPOSE EQUIPMENT." <br /> <br /> <br />
