This appropriates ~42,500 for design and <br />work on street improvements and drainage projects. <br /> <br /> The funds requested in this appropriation are needed to do the engineering and <br />design on some projects already requested and projects which have been requested from <br />Revenue Sharing in order to determine estimated cost for the requested projects. <br />The projects include improvements to Wilcox Road east of Elm Avenue; widening of Elmhurst <br />Lane between Cherokee Road and Portsmouth Boulevard; improvements to Syer Road; improve- <br />ments to South Street; Victory Boulevard drainage ditch at Francis Street and West <br />Norfolk Road improvements between Cedar Lane and West Norfolk Bridge. <br /> <br /> The Victory Boulevard drainage ditch at Francis Street was authorized by the <br />City Manager on November 13, 1973, and $5,000 of this appropriation is requested to <br />cover the engineering. The improvements to Wilcox Road east of Elm Avenue have been <br />requested from Revenue Sharing funds and $2,500 is needed for survey and engineering . <br />for realistic estimates.
