' <br /> <br /> Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-257 "Ordinance on first reading to appropriate $31,457.02 from the General Fund <br /> [or the paym~ent of audits on funds from Entitlements II1 and IV of Revenue Sharing. <br /> The monies included in this appropriation were appropriated by the previous ordinance <br /> from the interest earned on Entitlements III and IV during the month of May. 1574. These <br /> funds will be used to pay for audits which have been comnleted on Community Motor Bus <br /> subsidies, Portsmouth Ambulance contract subsidy, and the audit for Entitlement I, II and <br /> III required by the Federal Revenue Sharing Guidelines which is enclosed for your infor- <br /> mation.'' <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br /> approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $31,457.02 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PAYMENT <br /> FOR ADDITS CONDUCTED ON REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENTS Ill AND IV." <br /> <br /> Ayes: Early, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br /> Nays: Holley <br /> <br /> 74-258 - "Ordinance on first reading to amend the City Code so as to change the <br />voting places for Precincts 21 and 22. <br /> <br /> This ordinance is to designate the proper polling places for precincts already <br />established by ordinance." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance was <br />ed on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, BY <br /> AMENDING SECTIONS 9-85 AND 9-86 THEREOF SO AS TO CHANGE THE VOTING PLACES FOR <br /> PRECINCTS NOS. This <br />has been approved by the Planning Commission and a favorable report of viewers is <br />attached." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF MILITARY ROAD NORTH OF VICTORY BOULEVARD." <br /> <br />approv- <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-260 - "Resolution authorizing the conveyance of certain surplus City property in <br />the HattonsVille area of the City to the Industrial Development Authority and authorizing <br />the City Manager to execute a Deed of Conveyance for the same. <br /> <br /> This supersedes a resolution adopted by the City Council at its meeting May 8, 1973. <br />The previous resolution authorized conveyance of the property for consideration of <br />$5,000 per acre.
