35O <br /> <br />AuEust 13, 1974. <br /> <br /> -4-336 "Ordinance on first reading to appropriate $100,000 from the Revenue <br />Sharing Trust F~nd for the construction of a swimming pool and related facilities. <br /> This will authorize the Recreation Department to proceed with the design, location <br />and taking of bids for construction of a municipal swimming pool." <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance be ap- <br />proved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $100,000 FROM THE REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND <br /> IN THE CATEGORY OF RECREATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING POOL." <br /> Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br /> Nays: None <br /> Abstaining; Holley <br /> <br /> 74-337 "Ordinance on first reading to amend Section 31~68 o~ the City Code per- <br /> taining to additional retirement allowances. <br /> <br /> This isa technical change to the section which allows cost-of-living increases to <br />City retirees. This makes the Consumer Price Index adjustment available to any emplpyee <br />who has been retired twelve months as of July 1 of each fiscal year." <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance wa <br /> proved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, BY <br /> AMENDING SECTION 31-68 THEREOF PERTAINING TO ADDITIONAL RETIREMENT ALLOWANCES." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, EArly, <br />Nays: None <br />Abstaining: Holley <br /> <br />Elliott, Oast <br /> <br />Wentz, Davis <br /> <br /> ~4-338 "Ordinance on first reading to amend the City Code by adding thereto <br />new section numbered 32-35 pertaining to processing of street closure applications <br />the fee charged therefor. <br /> <br />a <br />and <br /> <br /> This ordinance establishes <br />cations and a fee to be charged <br />Code." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following ordinance was <br />approved on first resdi~g, and by the following vote: <br /> "AN O~DINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGIN~A, 1973, <br /> BY ADDING THERETO A N~ SECTION NUMBERED 32-35 PERTAINING TO PROCESSING <br /> STREET CLOSURE APPLICATIONS AND THE F~E CHARGED THEREFOR." <br /> <br />certain procedures for processing street closure appli- <br />for such processing. Langreder and it has <br />been approved by the Planning Commission." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Wentz, the following resolution was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br /> "RBSOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF LOUISA AVBN~B BE- <br /> TWBBN COHNTY STRBET AND THE RIGHT OF WAY OF SEABOARD COAST2INE RAILROAD. <br /> <br /> WFLEREAS, Charles A. and Judith A.
