<br />an agreement with Intercontinental Terminals, Inc., requiring construction of certain
<br />improvements on the west side of Lee Street between Detroit and C~eveland Streets.
<br />
<br /> Intercontinental Terminals had agreed with the City of Portsmouth to construct
<br />these improvements by September 28, 1974. Due to difficulties in acquiring additional
<br />property, construction property, construction of these~improvements has been delayed.
<br />Intercontinental Terminals has requested the City to extend the agreement for four months
<br />and has agreed to furnish an-additional letter of credit to insure performance of their
<br />obligations."

<br /> ~otion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Wentz, that the City Manager be granted
<br />permission to extend an agreement with Intercontinental Terminals, Inc., was adopted by
<br />unanimous ~ote.
<br />
<br /> 74-400 "Consideration of a~tkogiz~ng a~d dizectiny= tk~ City Manager to mward tRe
<br />low bid and execute contract for the repair and replacement of sidewalks and curbs a~
<br />downtown High Street.
<br />
<br /> Bids for this project were opened on September 17, and two bids were received by
<br />the City. It is recommended~!that the lo~ bidder, Aldo Construction Company, be awarded
<br />contract for the work on High Street."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Early and seconded

<br />bidder, was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $1,000 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
<br />FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN EASEMENT TO PROTECT AN EXISTING 36 INCH CON-
<br />CRETE STDRM DRAIN."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Holley, the ordinance was adopted, and by

<br />BY AMENDING SECTION 23-13 THEREOF PERTAINING TO THE PROHIBTION OF MOTOR
<br />TRUCKS FROM USING CERTAIN CITY STREETS."
