The Commission instructed its staff to pursue the matter with municipal
operating departments and postal officials. The Commission anticipates forwarding some
recommendations to you sometime in the early part of 1975.

In the interim, the Commission suggests that you consider a public relations program
to encourage every citizen to inspect the number appearing on his dwelling or place of
business. If each citizen would think of himself or herself as an ambulance driver and
consider any problems encountered in reaching his or her address, we might develop many
individual corrective actions which in the aggregate could amount to a municipal improve-
ment program."

On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that it be received for infor-
mation, was adopted by unanimous vote.

74-492 - Letter from Charles J.
