It will also provide the advance funds for engineering for pro <br />jects committed in the Community Development Program for Southside and Park View. The .~25,000 <br />in this appropriatidn for Community Development will be reimbursed to the Capital [mp~vement <br />Fuad upo~ac~i~t of~u~nds~fram ~he approved Community Development application. Since we are <br />committed to a 9-month work program under the Community Development application, it is necessary <br />to begin engineering design immediately. HERMON, HODGES FERRY BRIDGE AND THE WHEEL CHAIR RAMP AT THE MAIN LIBRARY; AND <br />$i3,-000 FOR CHURCHLAND PARK, TRUXTON FIELD AND CITY PARK. SAID $25,000 FOR COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS WILL BE REIMBURSED BY FEDERAL FUNDS AND THE FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />IS DIRECTED TO DEPOSIT SAID REIMBURSEmeNT IN THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND." <br /> <br /> 7S-9 - "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading <br />Capital ~m~gement Fund for the balance of the City's share <br />and Airline Boulevard intersection. <br /> <br />to appropriate $~%t]D-=i~.~e~ <br />of the TOPICS Program at Victory <br /> <br /> Previous appropriations in the amount of $242,Z~8 have been authorized for this project. <br />An additional $43,~00 is needed to pay the City,s share of the project cost. This project <br />included engineering, right-of-way, redesign of intersectionaand signalization for the Airline <br />Boulevard/Victory Boulevard intersection and roadway design from the intersection of ultimate <br />Route 58 (Airline Boulevard) to the intersection of Route 337(~1m Avenue). The City Manager <br />recommends adoption of this ordinance on first reading." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Elliott and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $43,100 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />THE VICTORY BOULEVARD TOPICS PROGRAM." <br /> <br /> 75-10 - "C~sidemation of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $993,000 from <br />the General Revenu~ Sharing Trust Fund in the categories-of Public Safety (Operating-Mainten- <br />ance), Recreation (CaFital), Equipment, Multi-Purpose and General Government (Capital). <br /> <br /> The $890,000 operating and maintenance money, and the $75,000 multi-purpose and general <br />government for purchase Of equipment were included in the annual operating budget of 1974-?S. <br />The above items were authorized by the resolution adopting Plan~ed Use Report for Entitlement <br />V. $28,000 of this appropriation was not included in the Planned Use Report in the category o <br />recreation for qapital expenditures. These additional funds have been recommended by the <br />Municipal Finance~'Commission to p~ovide the necessary funds for the construction of the swimmi~ <br />pool in Southside. A~copy of~the letter from the Finance Commission is ~attached for your in- <br />formation. The City Manager recommends adoption of this ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br /> On motion of M.r.
