<br /> On motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance was approved on
<br />first reading, and by unanimous vote:

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE ~7,500 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PAYMENT OF
<br />OPERATING SUBSIDIES UNDER THE CONTRACT WITH CO~4MUNITY ~IOTOR BUS COMPANY."

<br /> 75-42 - "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $60,000 from the
<br />General Revenue Sharing trust Fund, Entitlement V, in the category of Public Safety for
<br />~perations/Maintenance to the General Fund.
<br />
<br /> The funds recommended in this ordinance would permit the purchase of replacement uniforms
<br />uniforms for recruits and transfer personnel within the Police Department, a standard jacket
<br />and some uniforms for auxiliaries beyond the present budget. A significant number of retire-
<br />ments have resulted in many new recruits being unable to use hand-me-down equipment. This
<br />appropriation will start a change-over to stock off-the-self uniform purchasing which should,
<br />in the long run, minimize police uniform costs. The City Manager recommends adoption of this
<br />ordinance on first reading.'

<br /> This ordinance makes Green Street one way from Bart Street to Effingham Street to relieve
<br />congestion around the YMCA and Tidewater Area Retarded Center."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following ordinance was approved
<br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote:

<br />THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 23u~95 PERTAINING TO MAKING A PORTION

<br /> 75-45 "Consideration of a motion to authorize the City Manager to execute a constructio
<br />contract for the extension of existing sanitary sewers to serve Academy Point Aeartments.
<br />
<br /> The City's share of this proposed project is $6,223.80. The developer will be required
<br />to pay $41,403.45 before execution of the construction contract. The City Manager recommends
<br />award of the construction contract to the low bidder, A. Stuart Bolling Company, in the amount
<br />of $37,650."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that authorization be granted to the
<br />City Manager for execution of contract, was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />drains on River Shore Road and Hedgerow Lane.

<br /> Bids were received from 16 vendors for the referenced project and A1 Dillon Contractors,
<br />Inc., submitted the low bid of $42,879. The City Manager recommends award of the low<~bid.''

<br /> Motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the contract to be awarded to A1
<br />Dillon Contractors, Inc., being low bidder, was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> This resolution provides for amendments requested by the ICMA Retirement Corporation to
<br />amend the City's trust agreement and authorizes the Mayor to execute the deferred compensation
