The City Manager recommends adoption of this ordinance on first reading." to the General Fund for the purchase of equipment in On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr~ Oast, the following ordinance was approved first reading, and by unanimous vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $94,724.87 FROM THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND, ENTITLEMENT IV AND V~ FOR CAPITAL EXPENDITURES IN THE CATEGORY OF GENERAL AND MULTI-PURPOSE EQUIPMENT, INTO THE ~NERAL F~NDJ" ?5-85 "I submit the attached ordinance for your consideration which provides funds the following Capital Expenditures in the category of General and Multipurpose Equipment. on for A. Public Safety -Communications This will provide the money for the replacement of the radio test equipment in the Communications Department which is needed in order to keep all radios serviced, maintained, and in operating condition. B. Judicial This amount is needed to provide the filing equipment for the Circuit Court in order to eliminate filing cabinets and the demand for future filing cabinets for the Circuit Court. This equipment will enable the Court to gain approximately 26% additional space and permi~ the consolidation of the Clerks' Offices which will in turn provide the necessary space for the Commonwealth's Attorney. C. Parks and Recreation This will provide the money for the replacement of equip- ment that is being utilized for cleanup, mowing, etc., for City owned property. This equipment will also allow us to more effectively utilize CETA employees which have been employed in this department. D. Libraries Provide the funds for the construction of the ramp at the Main Library which was .shown in the 19747S Capital Work Plan to be funded from Revenue Sharing.
