<br /> 75-85 The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last regnlar meeting, was

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $94,724.81 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURCHASE
<br />OF EQUIPMENT FOR PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATION, PARKS AND RECREATION, JUDICIAL,
<br />LIBRARIES AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, the ordinance was adopted, and by the
<br />following vote:

<br />Nays: None
<br />
<br /> 75-86 The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last regular meeting, was
<br />taken up and read:

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $7,500 FROM THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND
<br />IN THE CATEGORY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, INTO THE GENERAL FUND."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to amend the ordinance appropriating
<br />$15,000, and the ordinance was adopted as amended, and by the following vote:

<br />OPERATING SUBSIDIES UNDER THE CONTRACT WITH COMMUNITY MOTOR BUS COMPANY,"

<br />1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-12 THEREOF PERTAINING FO ANNUAL LEAVE."

<br /> 75-91 - The following ordinance, approved on first reading at last regular meeting, was

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1973, BY ADDING
<br />ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 3 THEREOF PERTAINING TO FORTUNE-TELLERS, CLAIRVOYANTS
<br />AND PRACTITIONERS OF PALMISTRY, PHRENOLOGY AND HANDWRITING ANALYSIS."
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Oast, the ordinance was adopted, and by the
<br />following vote:

<br />Nays: Holley
<br />
<br /> 75-93 - Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Holley, to,authorize the execution of leg
<br />documents to effect a land transaction to the best bidder for land located at/near Academy Par
<br />School, was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> 75-60 - The following ordinance was presented:
<br />
<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND RECRDAIN ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 40 OF SAID CODE
<br />PERTAINING TO HISTORIC DISTRICT."
<br />
<br /> Mr. J. R. Gray, 9 Dahlgren Avenue, President of Cradock ProperFy Owners Association,
<br />spoke in regards to the above ordinance.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Wentz, the ordinance was approved on first
<br />reading, and by the following vote:

<br />Nays: None
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Wentz, to refer to the City Attorney to deter-
<br />mine if the Architectural Review Board can be enlarged or ordinance be amended to include as
<br />a member a person from the Cradock area, was adopted by unanimous vote.
