This resolution authorizes construction and places an assessment in the <br />amount of $2 per frontal lineage foot against said abutting land owners, the City Manager <br />recommends adoption." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following resolution was adopted <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by petition submitted in accordance with law, certain abutting landowners have <br />petitioned the City of Portsmouth to construct a sidewalk in the 200 block of Florida Avenue <br />between 218~Florida Avenue and 224 Florida Avenue, where standard sidewalks do not now e~ist~ <br />thehabahi~g~andowners shall be assessed paying $2.00 per front lineal foot of the cost of <br />said sidewalk; and <br /> <br /> Wt~REAS, notice has been duly given to the abuting landowners, as provided by law, that <br />a hearing would be held before the Council of the City of Portsmouth on January 27, 1976, at <br />7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers; and <br /> <br />lsh <br /> <br /> <br />
