<br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body, fo~ consideration and approval, a copy
<br /> of an amended Conservation Plan for the project area, dated February, 1976, which plan
<br /> sists of 22 pages and 3 exhibits; and con-
<br />
<br /> ~VHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 proposes to delete certain property from the project area
<br /> and to add such property to the Crawford Urban Renewal Project, Va. R-53; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has resolved that this
<br />Amendment is in the best interest of the City's renewal effort; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 2 has been carefully reviewed and said Conservation Plan
<br />conforms to the general plan for development of the City of Portsmouth as a whole; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council it is in the interest of the City and its
<br />inhabitants that the said Amendment be approved.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia:
<br />
<br /> 1. That Amendment No. 2 to the Conservation Plan for the Olde Towne Conservation Project
<br />Va. R-49, having been duly reviewed and considered, it ~s hereby found:
<br />
<br /> a. That the objectives of the Olde Tow-ne Conservation Project, Va. R-49,
<br /> PortsmOuth, Virginia, can be better achieved by the adoption of said amendment.
<br />
<br /> b. That Amendment No. 2 for the project area conforms to the general plan
<br /> for the City of Portsmouth as a whole.
<br />
<br /> 2. That Amendment No. 2 to the Olde To,me Conservation Plan for the Olde Towne Conserva-
<br />tion Project, Va. R-49, having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved and
<br />the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of said Amendment with the minutes of this
<br />meeting."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following resolution approved
<br />on first reading at the Public Hearing meeting of February 9, t976 was adopted, and by the
<br />following vote: '

<br />"A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE SOUTHSIDE II REDEVELOPMENT
<br />PLAN FOR THE SOUTHSIDE II REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council by resolution adopted December 17, 1974, approved a Redevelopment
<br />Plan for the Southside II Redevelopment Project, Portsmouth, Virginia; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body, for consideration and approval, a copy
<br />of an amended Redevelopment Plan for the project area, dated February, 1976, which plan
<br />consists of 14 pages and 2 exhibits; and
<br />
<br /> }~]4EREAS, Amendment No. 1 proposed to add certain property to the project area; and
<br />
<br /> WNEREAS, said Amendment No. 1 has been carefully reviewed and said Redevelopment Plan
<br />conforms to the general plan for development of the City of Portsmouth as a whole; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has resolved that this Amendment
<br />is in the best interest of the City's renewal effort; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council it is in the interest of the City and its
