Barnes, Archie Elliott, Jr., Edward L. Oast, Jr., <br />Robert W. Wentz, Jr., Harold C. Watkins, Assistant City Manager, Gordon B. <br />Tayloe, Jr., City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Absent: E. Saunders Early, Jr., James W. Holley. <br /> <br /> Dr. Thomas J. Powers, Pastor, Park View Baptist Church, <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />opened the meeting with prayer, <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr,' glliett, minutes of the called meeting of <br />September 14, 1976 and minutes of the regular meeting of September 14, 1976, to be approved <br />as received~, was'adOptedlby unanimous Vote~ <br /> <br /> - UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br /> 76-366 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of <br />September 14, 1976, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $2,194,237 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEAWALL EXTENSION AND THE NORTH MARINA AS PART OF THE <br />CRAWFORD HARBOR PROJECT." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the ordinance was adopted, and by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Bll'iott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 76-367 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of <br />September 14, 1976, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $294,500 FROM THE CAPITAL'IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF AIR RIGHTS AND PURCHASE OF FEE SIMPLE TITLE FOR CERTAIN PAR- <br />CELS REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTH MARINA." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the ordinance was adopted, and By <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: ~None <br /> <br /> 76-368 - The following ordinance appzov~d~on: first reading <br />September 14, 1976, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />at thC, regular meeting of <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $306,800 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />DRAINAGE AND STREET DEMOLITION IN THE MT. HERMON URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Elliott and seconded by Mr. Oast, the ordinance was adopted, and by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Elliott, <br />Nays: None <br />Absteining: Wentz <br /> <br />Oast, Davis <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Oast and seconed by Mr. Elliott, the contract to be awarded to Aldo <br />Construction Corp. in the amount of $5,235, being lowest %esponsible bidder, was adopted by <br />4-1 (Wentz-abstaining) vote. <br /> <br /> 76-369 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of <br />September 14, 1976, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $95,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHURCHLAND PARK - PHASE I." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded bY Mr. Elliott, the ordinance was adopted, and by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Oast, the contract to be awarded to T. H. Wiggin~ <br />Inc. in the amount of $290,000, being lowest responsible bidder, was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br /> 76-370 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of <br />September 14, 1976, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $107,320 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />CONTINGENCIES AND PUBLIC SAFETY." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the ordinance was adopted, and by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: B~rnes, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
