<br /> 77-203 Consmderation of an o~dinance on first reading to approFriate $36 452 from the
<br />Federal Grants Fund for the continuation of the Victim Witness Program in the Commonwealth
<br />Attorney's Office and the Status Offender Pr~ogram within the Juvenile Court Services Unit.
<br />
<br /> This appropriation will pyovide the necessary funds to continue the status Offender Pro-
<br />gram at a level of $18,452 for the next fiscal year. Also it includes the funds for the con-
<br />tinuation of the Victim Witness Program at a level of $18,000 for the next fiscal year. Of
<br />the total appropriation, $1,822 is required in local cash match to continue these two programs
<br />for the second year, the balance of the appropriation is Federal funds. A recap of the progral
<br />outlining the purpose, evaluation, and fiscal accounting is included for your information. Th,
<br />City Manager recommends adoption on first reading."

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $36,452 FROM THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR THE
<br />CONTINUATION OF THE STATUS OFFENDER PROGRAM WITHIN THE JUVENILE COURT, AND
<br />THE WITN~SS.~VICTIM PROGRAM WITHIN THE COMMONWEALTH JuTTORN~Y'S OFFICE."

<br /> 77-20~ "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $200,000 from theI
<br />Capital Improvements Fund for architectural and engineering services, legal fees, soil borings
<br />and test ~lings associated with the central p~rking garage and parking ramp in the waterfront
<br />development.
<br />
<br /> This appropriation will provide the necessary funds for the termination of the architec-
<br />tural and engineering services of the joint venture originally contracted for by the City for
<br />the multi-story municipaI building. Also, legal fees, soil borings, test pilings, and other
<br />engineering fees associated with the proposed construction of the central garage and the park-
<br />ing ramp as part of the Waterfront Development. The 1976-77 Capital Improvements Program at-
<br />locate~ $550,000 toward the development of the Municipal Building and this is the first appro-
<br />priation made ~uring this fiscal year against this allocation. The City Manager recommends
<br />adoption on first reading."

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $200,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR
<br />ENGINEERING, ATTORNEYS' FEES, ARCHITECTURAL FEES, TEST PILING AND SOIl BORING
<br />ASSOCIATED WITH THE CENTRAL PARKING GARAGE AND PARKING RAMP IN THE WATERFRONT
<br />DEVELOPMENT."

<br /> 77-205 "Consideration of an ordinance to a~end Section 35-115 of the City Code pertain-
<br />ing to collection and reporting of utility taxes.
<br />
<br /> This amendment will modify the time allowed for the reporting and submission of the col-
<br />lection of utility taxes from the present requirement of the last day of the second month afte~
<br />collection to on or before the last day of the month following collection. In other words,
<br />the cash flow on the utility taxes will be required within 30 days after collection in lieu of
<br />60 days. The current ordinance requires the utility companies to catch up in June, this will
<br />create a level payment over the 12 months of the fiscal year. The City Manager recommends
<br />adoption."
