The
Administration recommended that we remain in the commercial collection business during our
budget review in the Spring of 1977. There were several changes in the refuse collection
division. However, at the time it was noted that two replacement vehicles would be required
in order to deliver the commercial service ~ficiently. One vehicle was purchased from the
funds provided in the General Operating Budget; .however, there were no funds provided for
the second vehicle. This appropriation will be funded from the emergency contingency account
of the General Fund. The City Manager recommends adoption of first reading."
