ORDINANCE NO. 2026-26 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FOUR -FOR -LIFE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$76,130.08 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, OFFICE OF <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT <br />IN THE FY 2026 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY PFRES FOR ELIGIBLE <br />EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND TRAINING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Four -For -Life funds in the amount of $76,130.08 from the <br />Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services and appropriates <br />said funds in the FY 2026 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for eligible equipment, supply, and training costs. <br />That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $76,130.08. <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on April 14, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
