ORDINANCE NO. 2026-16 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,235 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM COALITION AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2026 BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND FOR USE IN FURTHERANCE OF THE <br />PORTSMOUTH CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $33,235 from the Virginia Crisis <br />Intervention Team Coalition and appropriates said funds in the FY 2026 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services for the Portsmouth Crisis Intervention Team program. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended in their <br />entirety or recaptured by the granting entity. <br />4. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $33,235. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on March 10, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
