ORDINANCE NO. 2026-17 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $4,250,000 FROM THE STATE GENERAL FUND <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT TO THE SEWER PUMP STATION <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE FY 2026 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND BUDGET FOR SANITARY SEWER PUMP STATION UPGRADES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding from the state general fund in the amount of <br />$4,250,000 and appropriates said amount to the Sewer Pump Station Improvements project <br />in the FY 2026 Capital Improvement Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used for sanitary sewer pump station <br />upgrades. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That the funding shall reduce anticipated local revenue by $4,250,000 and <br />increase state aid by $4,250,000 in the Sewer Pump Station Improvements Project in the <br />FY 2026 Capital Improvement Fund Budget. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on March 10, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
