(5) General LINC Overlay Standards <br />The following standards shall apply throughout the LILAC Overlay District. <br />(a) Building Frontage and Setbacks <br />(i) A building on a lot abutting London Boulevard or County Street shall have <br />the principal fagade facing those streets, unless the lot is a corner lot with a <br />previously established frontage on a different public street. <br />(ii) As an alternative to the standards in Sec. 40.2-218, the building setbacks for <br />lots along London Boulevard may be the average of other buildings along <br />the same block. <br />(iii) Buildings on County Street may reduce the front setback to 10 feet. As an <br />alternative, the building setback along County Street may be the average of <br />the other building setbacks along the same block. <br />(iv) Buildings on Effingham Street may reduce the front setback to 5 feet. <br />(b) Building Height <br />The maximum building height in the LINC Overlay District shall be 100 feet. <br />(c) Use Permit Modification <br />As part of a Use Permit application outlined in Sec. 40.2-533 or a Special <br />Exception application outlined in Sec. 40.2-535, the applicant may request a <br />modification of the building setbacks or parking requirements within the LINC <br />Overlay District for city council consideration of approval. <br />(6) Prohibited Uses <br />In addition to any prohibited uses in the underlying zoning district outlined in Sec. <br />40.2-216 Use Table, the following uses and use categories are prohibited throughout <br />the LINC Overlay District, except that development facing London Boulevard, <br />development facing Effingham Street north of Queen Street, and existing single-family <br />detached dwellings along High Street from Yorktown Avenue to Chestnut Street are <br />exempt from the below listed prohibited uses (but not from the Use Table). <br />(a) Development with drive-through facilities <br />(b) Convenience stores with gasoline sales <br />(c) Gasoline sales <br />(d) Single-family detached dwelling <br />(e) Park and Ride Facility <br />(f) Construction materials sales <br />(g) Crematory <br />(h) Funeral home <br />(i) Vehicle sales and service (light and heavy) uses <br />0) Recycling center <br />(k) Domestic animal breeding <br />(7) Residential Densities <br />The maximum density for residential development shall be 64 units per acre throughout <br />the LINC Overlay District. <br />
