EXHIBIT A <br /> 1. Division 2 of Article IX of Chapter 22 is amended as follows: <br /> ARTICLE IX.- STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING <br /> DIVISION 2. PAY PARKING ZONES <br /> Sec. 22-601. Designation of zones. <br /> The following described parts of streets in the city are hereby designated as pay <br /> parking zones: <br /> Bill Deal Street, both sides, from Water Street to Harbor Court. <br /> County Street, south side, from Crawford Street to Court Street. <br /> County Street, north side,from Crawford Street to County Street Parking Lot entrance. <br /> Crawford Street, both sides, from High Street to London Street. <br /> Crawford Street, both sides, from King Street to Columbia Street. <br /> High Street, both sides, from Water Street to Effingham Street. <br /> King Street, north side, between Middle Street Mall and Dinwiddie Street. <br /> London Street, south side, from Crawford Street to Middle Street. <br /> London Street, both sides, from Crawford Street to Water Street. <br /> Queen Street, south side, from Court Street to Crawford Street. <br /> Washington Street,both sides, from High Street to County Street. <br /> Sec. 22-602. Powers, duties of city manager generally. <br /> (a) In pay parking zones, the city manager may cause to be implemented parking meters, <br /> mobile pay signage, pay stations, or a similar method for payment, and shall cause <br /> pay parking spaces to be designated in accordance with the provisions of this article. <br /> (b) The city manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts and provide for the <br /> installation, regulation, control, operation and use of parking meters, a mobile pay <br /> process, pay stations, or a similar method for payment, and to maintain any related <br /> facilities in good working condition. <br /> Sec. 22-603. Parking fees. <br /> (a) The fee for parking in a pay parking zone shall be as established in appendix A of this <br /> Code. <br /> (b) When any vehicle shall be parked in any space in a pay parking zone =the driver or <br /> other occupant of the vehicle shall, upon entering such parking space, immediately <br /> make payment for the use of the space, and such parking space may then be lawfully <br /> A-1 <br />
