ORDINANCE NO. 2025-13 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE <br />SOUTHSIDE REGIONAL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS RESPONSE TEAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $30,000 from the Virginia Department of <br />Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for the Southside Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $30,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />February 25, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
