ORDINANCE NO. 2025-12 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DOG AND CAT STERILIZATION FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $1,290 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND TO <br />SUPPORT A STERILIZATION PROGRAM FOR DOGS AND CATS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Dog and Cat Sterilization funds in the amount of $1,290 and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used to support a sterilization program for <br />dogs and cats. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $1,290. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />February 25, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
